LiftX has a proud heritage spanning nearly two decades in the vertical transportation industry. Originally established as Cook & Associates Lift Consultants Limited by Barry and Gillian Cook, the business was incorporated on 9 March 2006 with a clear mission: to provide independent, expert guidance in the design, safety, and modernisation of lifts and escalators.

Over the years, the business built a strong reputation for technical excellence, regulatory knowledge, and client-focused service. Now, as the lift industry evolves, so too does our identity.

In 2026, we rebrand as LiftX—a name that reflects both our legacy and a renewed commitment to the digital age, responsive service, and modern client engagement. The change marks more than a name—it signals a new era in how we deliver expert lift consultancy, combining innovation with the standards our clients have always trusted.
